Tim is ta leading expert on biorepository operations. 

For many years he managed the largest human tissue repository in the U.S. for the National Institutes of Health’s Central Repository Service. His work was critical in supporting research for cancer treatment and prevention through tissue, blood product, and biopsy collection and distribution.

Immediately prior to joining TMRW, Tim served as the Global Biorepository Director for ICON plc, where he led sample management and storage, cold chain logistics, repository services, and strategic sponsor partnerships across three continents for clients such as Kite, June, and Gilead. Prior to ICON, Tim served as the principal technical expert for global biorepository/biospecimen operations, cryobiology, and cold chain operations at the American Type Culture Collection. He headed the global inventory operations department for multiple ATCC operations around the world, totaling 18 million specimens. 

Tim’s extensive leadership experience in biorepository operations has made him a key player in developing industry processes and controls. He currently serves on the Standards Coordinating Body drafting the ISO TC276 Cell and Regenerative Medicine standards for cell therapy transport and biobanking.

Tim has published extensively in professional journals related to cryopreservation. In addition, he is the primary author of several U.S. patents, both granted and pending.

Prior to beginning his career in cryostorage, Tim served in the U.S. Army in sensitive logistics roles in Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
